| Location and Facilities: | The Academy's high school is housed in a one-story building with the junior high housed in an adjacent one-story building. The building includes a large community room that serves as a student meeting area, workshops, and conferences. Grassy areas surrounding the school provide space for soccer, volleyball, and community games. |
| Admissions Procedure: | An application packet can be obtained by calling The RSEC Academy. The application is reviewed by the admissions committee. If the student is eligible, an interview is scheduled for the parents, student, and school district. A full day visit for the student completes the admissions process. If accepted, students are enrolled for a 45-day diagnostic period followed by a placement meeting, and if appropriate, enrolled for the remainder of the school year. |
| Programs and Services: | Language based instruction, Wilson Reading Program, Orton Gillingham, Lindamood Bell, Project Adventure, and extra curricular opportunities that include: student government, student leadership, school store, and after school recreational sports. |

| History and Philosophy: | The primary goal of The RSEC Academy is to develop independent learners. Students are taught skills, strategies, an understanding of their learning disability, and the communication skills to advocate for their needs. By developing and practicing skills in a safe nurturing environment, students are able to go back to their sending school district, on to college, or into the workforce successfully. |
