| Location and Facilities: | School comprises three adjacent buildings with six classrooms with a central administrative/disciplinary office area. |
| Admissions Procedure: | All students referred are required to take part in an interview process that includes a full day visit to the school. Physician approval that the student can participate in a physically demanding program is also required. If accepted, students are enrolled for a 30-day diagnostic period, and if appropriate, enrolled for the remainder of the school year. |

| History and Philosophy: | The Summit School serves students with educational disabilities. Students are provided small group academic instruction. Additionally, students attend adventure-based counseling activities weekly in order to improve self-esteem and strengthen social skills including communication, cooperation, problem solving, trust, leadership, and recreation. Students are grouped into small teams for all adventurebased counseling activities including; hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and skiing. |
